Redefining Beauty

This series of work is a love letter to women of color. Mainstream media is focused on representing a certain type of beauty. That beauty standard was centered around white women. Women of color are less likely to see themselves represented as beautiful in magazines, tv shows, movies… For this series I asked some of my friends to showcase when they feel their most beautiful and confident. Beauty is all about confidence and embracing who you are. I hope to promote inclusivity, diversity and different types of beauty with this series.
